The longer I am sober I am finding my negative mind chatter is a definite challenge for me to overcome. I see I have damaged my brain in a deep way with chemicals and toxins, and my paranoid and insecure feelings need a lot of work in order to overcome believing in them. But as I continue to try to practice the power of positive thinking, I see miracles can happen with this conscious positive awareness..

Positive thinking may be more powerful than we realize. A positive outlook has many benefits. It can help us keep a clear mind, as well as stay energized and organized. Positive thinking can also impact others around us. If we’re happy and exuding confidence, our positivity can become contagious. We can start to see things fall into place, kinda like the theory, what you think about you bring about.

We can all admit some days it can be hard to keep a positive outlook, especially when we are trying to adjust to this new chaotic world we live in, on top of our own squirm. But practicing the best ways to stay positive through it all can help keep us on the path to peace and can ensure that we take every opportunity to have an even more successful year at becoming our best personal self.

Here are some positive points I am trying to consciously practice, which have helped bring a change to my internal and external well being.

*Having a positive attitude helps you make the most of where you are.

*To err is human, DON’T BE SO HARD ON ONE’S SELF. I’m trying to begin to brush it off and try to find ways to do better next time.

*When we think positively, we are more motivated to find different ways to improve ourselves, as opposed to giving up or getting discouraged.

*It’s okay to ask for help, it’s impossible to know everything. Reaching out to others can help us keep a positive attitude. Knowing we are not alone always boosts the spirit. I find the best part of this is that when we learn from others with different experiences their knowledge can help give us a new perspective and offer a fresh way of looking at things.

*Avoid unnecessary conflicts. It’s so important to remember that no two people are the same. Staying positive can help diffuse conflicts by openly communicating and accepting and respecting the opinions of others. If we can welcome open discussions in a positive/non-judgmental way, we will see it is a great way to keep the peace.

*Taking a mental health break can be the most important positive action of all. Plan for some “me” time.

*Be patient! Ahh!! My biggest challenge as this is not easy at times, but it’s important to be patient with yourself and others. And remember it’s also important to be mindful and respectful of where others are in their own lives, just as you would hope people would do for you in return.

When it comes down to it, the power of positive thinking is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. So, take a deep breath and remember positive thoughts reap positive results.

You’ve got this.

Love and light
